The Philosophy of Institutional Effectiveness at WCU
The general philosophy of institutional effectiveness at WCU is to focus on continuous improvement while assessing the achievement of targeted strategic priorities on a periodic basis using multiple kinds of evidence, thereby assuring a system that is comprehensive, systematic, and manageable. The institution’s strategic planning and institutional effectiveness framework is structured to respond to the binding expectations, rules, and procedures set forth by the overall governing authority for the University of North Carolina system (hereafter the University) as conferred by the Board of Governors’ code (revised June, 2006; http://intranet.northcarolina.edu/docs/legal/policymanual/100.1.pdf).
